Ogwang Clipper: “In this song I ask Joseph Kony, the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army, to come home from the bush and bring all our children home. I hope Kony will accept peace talks and reconciliation. In my opinion, the government of Uganda is ready for peace talks and willing to give Kony amnesty (forgiveness act).”

Ogwang Clipper plays ‘nanga’, a traditional instrument with seven nylon strings in a wooden box. Clipper is one of the most experienced and respected nanga players in northern Uganda. He performs with his female counterpart on vocals and his dancers with whistle and bells. Even his broken foot in plaster didn’t keep Clipper from coming all the way from his village to Kitgum town to perform this song.
